Boron and boron compounds are an integral part of the natural life. They are used not only as nutrients for plant but also important ingredients in a variety of household and commercial products. In recent years, the growing demand for smart and functional materials has necessitated the new and innovative researches on boron or boron compounds, due to their excellent contribution to material properties. Turkey has a largest boron reserve in the world. This makes Turkey very important player in the boron market. However, there is no doubt that increased information and collaboration between all relevant parts are a priority to ensure efficient and sustainable use of our boron resources.
The Boron Research Center was established with the regulation published in the official newspaper dated February 5, 2004 and numbered 25364.
The vision of BRC is to be an active center to provide a performing of innovative researches on both usage and production of boron and boron products in cooperation with all Institutions. And the mission is to carry out the following activities,
- Scientific support with its existing resources,
- Organizing of the scientific meetings, workshops, symposiums etc. to share knowledge, experiences and provide an opportunity for scientific discussion.
- Establishes scientific relations with national and international institutions and organizations to conducts research projects and publications
